Notes About The Poem

Chicago, the Musical

As the tempo lifts unto a spotlight releasing a pulsed dangle where limbs, arms, and hips gyrate on flamed waves of a lambent dance: skirts mounting through Chicago musical’s tones… and like splashed paint, each raced jiggle turns vaudeville into fireworks of air-brushed strokes illuminating the arena with raw movement as every tap enters a kinesthetic pore; while I, between suctioned gasps, quiver inside my belly…intoxicated! You have captured the thrill of a live musical to perfection my friend! A long time ago I went to the Greenville Little Theatre because my girlfriend told me I needed to be 'exposed' to The Arts. The show was 'Barefoot in the Park' and the leading lady was some Soap Opera star. I thought I would be bored to death but thoroughly enjoyed it! Congrats - Tim
