A moth's deadly answer of those who stray away from the light. C'est la vie mon amie, Sara.

Indeed, spider webs are quite the work of art, as well as being practical for the spider. Poor moth needed more flight hours. Well done, Sara.

Spiders are wonderful artists ! How beautifully they make their gossamer webs and cunningly wait at the center to catch unsuspecting moths and small insects. Beautiful haiku, Sara!

Thank you, Valsa, for your interpretation of my work. Yes, those spider webs are very intricately crafted and detailed. It is amazing how they do it, but I do hate to walk into one. Your visit and review were uplifting. Sara K

This is a very clever Haiku Sara - I too just looked the word up - light - dark. Love it! I’m actually scared of moths (phobia) but still feel sorry for its fate :) Great chosen words. Blessings to you. Xx

Yes, Christina, moths can be bad in that some will eat wool clothing or other wool items or can do damage to plants in the garden, etc. so maybe it is not a phobia but just a natural fear. Thanks for dropping by and leaving your thoughts and kind review of my work. I am glad you looked up the word. Sara K

Chiaroscuro is adept for the poor moth, for it was free but now is trapped. Lovely haiku. Blessings

Brilliant haiku, well written, i learned a new word too so thank you for that, chiaroscuro. Moth in spider web, what a deep line! You’ve painted imagery in such an eloquent manner in few syllables! Absolutely loved reading this and that picture fits the theme of the haiku so well! Love it
