Chemistry

The simultaneous effect
of two glances
across the last remaining
distance between them

Then
    when first they met

Now
    when they are apart

Each carrying within
   the beat
     of the other's heart

Gerry - this poem is short to the point and absolutely perfect - nice to meet you - welcome, though i appear to be a little late - very gifted poetry - Often i tend to be a tad long winded in my poems I reckon - God Bless, MJ

Hi, Gerry. My old friend passed on...We both of us are/were musicians. By "overtones" I'm talking about the subtle harmonics in one's voice and behavior, the little asides embellishments. I like your poem, by the way. My e-mail is [email protected]. Love, daver
