Cheers
(Cheers)
Alan L Boles picture
Cheers...to life
Cheers...to death
And all the in-between's
The good
And the bad,
We raised our glass,
And celebrated,
Do you remember?
I tried to forget!
No...I...didn't...do that,
We danced,
We partied,
Told jokes,
We laughed
We cried,
Drunk...out of our heads,
Pie-eyed,
The room spun around,
Around and around,
Even fell to the ground,
Yes...but...it was...fun,
For a short time,
Woke up in a strange bed,
Had a soar head!
I never want to do that again....
Or may be...just the...one!
In a large glass.
Well it's...Christmas,
Its my...birthday,
I'm on...holiday,
May be I will stop...next year!
Life's too short.
Cheers.
