Cheers

Walking into the La Fiesta, a group of young latinos were exiting A short young man(little man syndrome) says "grande torro" so I can hear and understand, it is a petty thing but it hurts deep. Especially coming from a so and so, son of a foriegner. It brings back another memory of the migrant farm workers who stayed next door to my in laws and ate stray dogs in the neighborhood. (I hope I never get that hungry) Then there is the time that a latino family, stole my two year old's floaty at a water park and had the nerve to tell an officer on me for taking it back. Lord help me to forgive and forget!! (I don't mean to offend anyone-this was just my way of letting it go)

Don't be concerned with forgiveness. Just dismiss this ill memory. Think of it one last time, then put it out of your mind with a big "Hasta La Vista Baby!" Good write Doris. Best Wishes Always, Bill

Doris, It never stops amazing me how hurtful people can intentially be. It's a learned habit I think that some take on to put other's down. To make themselves feel better about themselves. In order to cover up their own weaknesses. Brush it off okay hun. Memories, they are so hard to live with sometimes especially when they hurt. I try to replace a positive thought with every negative one. It seems to help. Keep writing hun!! Love Patty

So sorry you have to experience that pain. Mostly because it creates a vacuum ..you know ... (it sucks ! ) : ) Hope you feel better. Sara's right, of course. You can't fight ignorance. God bless you, Doris. I enjoy your poems. -Robert

Honey we all have feelings that surface and we need to deal with them in an appropriate manner andnot shove them down for they will reappear in some form or another. Writing about it helps I have learned this late in life. You know who you are inside and they did not. Keep the magical pen flowing. Mom
