Cheer

... Long moments of silence As I watch them sleep In Life there are times of blissful relief From memories of life past That we thought were UNKIND, PaInFuL and WilD How wrong ourselves we find In the eyes of our soulmate And child... -------------------------- Made the poem for my daughter's birth circa 2004. Lost the copy, remembered only these last few lines. It's actually long and I hope someday to find that piece of paper where I wrote it.

It is an awesome write George, so passionate and touching. It is a real life - a serene moment. I share your pain of losing the bulk of the write. I hope some day you find this masterpiece. Thanks for your brilliant comments on my Haiku "I wear a happy face" and your appreciation of my poem The Frostbitten Leaf. -Mohammad

It is certainly a moments of peace to see them sleep. They are full of joy and excitement while awake, and so peacefully while asleep. I can see the wonderful images in this poem. Hopefully, one day you will find the original copy. Great job! ~Joseph

George... I know the pain of losing your written word, its like losing something so important, in my case it was destroyed , I have never been able to recreate it, although I have tried and come close.. but the same emotion is missing..you understand I am sure... could you try... perhaps you remember enough.. it would be worth it... it is very beautiful poem..and thank you for your comments on my poem Butterfly, I think dancing and poetry share the same emotion and passion..Constance

This is so terrible, to have lost the page. Poems are very dear to us and even more important and lovely when we write them for the most loved ones. Hope you find the page someday. Whatever I read here was fabulous and I'm sure it would have been great if you had it fully. Blessings and love:) Chitra

Oh no! That is horrible (about the paper being lost!) From someone whse home burned to the ground a few yrs back, and lost all photos/babybooks/momentos of my kids and family, I know how hard that is. What you can recall is lovely, and so true...they are a gift meant to be experienced every moment - lous moments included. ;) Love Kristin
