Checking His Listening Ears
It is a bit of an inconvenience to have
A werewolf living in our refrigerator,
A troll residing in your underwear drawer
And a vampire who reads our mail.
My husband looks up. “That’s right,” he says.
Assuring me that he is indeed listening to my every word.
