The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Cheap Red Wine

The quiet of the
cheap red wine,
sweet,
persistent,
best drunk alone.

Later, the vivid dreams
that wake me
to a throbbing heart,
hard breathing,
and the taste of ashes.
