Chasing the Fire

Chasing the Fire
By Peter Paul

Born in world of violence
Hate , Greed and Fraudulence.
Wars are waged, citizens enraged
Innocence erased from the book of time.

The Tyrants that rule, Feed us lies with a spoon
And the truth that labours inside, is constantly being denied
But as wine is aged for the divine, so will truth emerge in a fiery design

Chasing the fire of truth
With the strength that unites our youth
No more spoons to feed the lies
Only coal to light the pyre
As we’re Chasing the fire

Their words will fall on deaf ears, as their subjects disappear
Their loyalty was bought and sold, as power is measured in gold
Yet for all they hold dear, they will never persevere.

Chasing the fire of truth
With the strength that unites our youth
No more spoons to feed the lies
Only coal to light the pyre
As we’re Chasing the fire

When the ambers diminish, and the tide subsides
Peace will return and no more divides
The values we harboured inside
Will indoctrinate those alive

Chasing the fire of truth
With the strength that unites our youth
No more spoons to feed the lies
Only coal to light the pyre
As we’re Chasing the fire
