Chasing A Fantasy Dream
I miss you, like the desert
misses the sweet taste of rain.
For, from the moment you left
all I've ever felt: is pain.
I never wished to hurt you,
for you're everything to me.
But until you walked away,
I was just too blind to see.
How stupid I must have seemed,
chasing a fantasy dream.
When all the while you struggled,
to stifle a silent scream.
Love lured you into my life,
but deceit drove you away.
And though you deserve much more,
I'm sorry: what can I say?
Please, forgive me if you can,
I promise, I'll do my part.
For I can't live without you:
I love you, with all my heart.
