Notes About The Poem

Charlie's Fiddle

tribute to Charles Edward Daniels (1936-2020)

the devil went down to Georgia
to the demented tune of a million fiddles
rock 'n roll reflections of greener honey blue grass
the legends of guitar heroes strung mile high
hits across the line to immortality

I found myself singing this song almost immediately, and it is one of my favorites!

I saw him in concert and never saw his face because his hat was pulled down so low. But I knew it was him playing!
