Changing Time

If I made a journey back in time
I could change things in history
Reflecting only the good
Changing a piece of time
Emitting the bad
transformation
reflecting 
today's
state.



If I could figure out a new way 
IF you could whirl it like a dime
and find a way to break time
changing space and matter
into fine segments
slowing matter
in seconds
stopping 
time


If I made a time journey forward
All would be changed for better
The bad would be erased now
transformation complete
new restoration
bring balance
a new order
on earth
complete

While it may be wishful thinking to consider changing the past, what we learn from the past can help us have a happier future. If we don't learn from our past mistakes, we're doomed to repeat them. Very thought-provoking and well-written poem, Phyllis! Love, Carolyn
