Changing

he likes brunettes but i was blonde
he likes the darkness but the sun is my favourite
he wakes up early but i like to stay up late

I dye my virgin hair. brunette now
i hide from the sun and learn to love the dark
i became a morning person, will he like me

however now he likes blondes
and loves to soak up the sun
he’s awake all night now

i changed for him
but now he prefers the way i was
why doesn’t he want me? now or then

i changed for his attention
for his love
and yet now or then
i’m still not the one
