Change the World

Painting #7
Twilight Confidences by Cecilia Beaux 1888

Change The World

Assurance guides the night air
adhering to the cries of the poor,
muffled voices in the midst
of a wedding feast.

Bound by promises
and sacred oaths,
imprisoned by freedom
to never rest
until all have found
God’s mercy.

Twilight confidences
shall never utter
one word of doubt
instead, solutions
that are certain
to change the world.
