Change

A toxic aroma fills the environment, Our unjustified deaths can be prevented. Recently I was pulled over by a cop, Fear overcame me as I came to a stop. The change we need is on the ledge, Voting is how we make the change. Communities need to work together, Like the sun and moon for the weather. A man is held at gun point in his driveway, We get harassed by the badge every day. Put the shoe on the other foot for a day, I’d like to see you live in my skin for a day. Our system is screwed and rigged, Always ruling in favor of white privilege. A window for change has arrived, A chance for our country to thrive.
