Change!

A long hard look is needed
An approach from outside the box
We have come a long, long way
since the pilgrims at Plymouth rock
and we have changed
oh yes we have
we have changed

We have fought against others, ourselves.
Of both local and worldly disputes.
And now we fight men
who have nothing but tyranny in their minds
but they can change
oh yes we can
we all can change

For many years we have fought oppression
hatred in all its forms
Discriminating because of ones appearance
tolerance is the norm
can we change
oh yes we can
we can change

America we fight to remain the few the proud the true
but we are sick
we need to back down eat some soup
sit on the couch and watch a flick
then we can change
oh yes we can
we can change

When our heart beats strong America, we are mighty!
It seems as if time itself beats to the sound of our marching band
As if we are the lifeline to the world
dangling, helpless and fighting for its life, not even aware
I believe we can change
oh yes we can
we can change

We mustn't forget that we are strong united as one
that these United States of America stand for democracy, freedom!
and the right to have a job, and our kids belly's full
we have elected the inevitable
now we must change
oh yes
we must change
