Challenging the Universe

Isn’t it difficult to breathe
When you can’t see the hope?
Isn’t it hard to believe
When The real you has somewhere lost?
Clearly road ahead is very long for you
Surely there will be more hurdles or battles to reach upto the last milestone
But stubborn you will manage to walk along it
Then some day in the loudest voice You’ll challenge the UNIVERSE
To pay you back your results or this time You’ll CURSE
Wouldn’t it be startling when this haughty universe kneel down in front of you?
Tired, desolated, whimpers and disarmed try to make peace with you?
Later bow down ashamed and with shivering hands offer you everything whatever You’ve ever asked for?
Wouldn’t it be courageous you to refuse its accord of peace
Weak, disconsolate, recalcitrant coward beg to consider its offer again
Voracious you might decline it’s offer for something even better than mundane
.
.
.
.
.
Everything will happen in time
but tonight it is difficult to breathe
When You can’t see the HOPE in near future
Tonight it’s difficult to believe
When it’s you who is LOST

Urvashi, this is a very powerful free verse capturing so well the thin line between hope and feeling lost in the huge universe. Sometimes it is difficult to breathe. Beautifully written ~ John
