Chafing

                                                                                Mum used to cater
                                                                                       my every whim.
                                                                                   I was really spoilt
like a large catch of tuna
                                                                               in the police station.
                                                      The local children were cautioned
                                                                                        against talking
                                                                          to strangers about me.
                                                                                         That was why
                                                                    I became celestial canopy
                                                                          in the neighbourhood.
