Nothing is heard, but the gentle breeze
Breeze that whispers over the deceased
Trees bow their branches with deep respect
For those that lie in cemetery beds.
The green grass is tended graciously
For mourning of friends and family
To find healing that lessons their grief
And helps those grieving to find some peace.
Flowers adorn the beautiful place
Chosen with perfect love and good taste
By those who’ve lost a special someone
Who in their heart’s will always live on.
A cemetery is the place to be
When hearts are broken in two, sadly
The ambience has a calming effect
When one feels that their life has been wrecked.
Stone angels keep watch both night and day
Singing to keep tears and fears at bay
So the departed rest in sweet peace
And their souls live on within God’s fleece.
