Cellar Door

Cellar Door
dare to hit the floor?
and pour
pour your thoughts
your feelings
your dreams
your urges
on the table
turn it into something better
transforming
into a sky high firefly
wandering about in bliss
butterfly kisses
die
crumble
and turn to ash
ashes to ashes
dust to dust
who do you have left to trust?

Wonderful phrasing and imagery... excellent title and construction. Your final six lines with the concluding rhyme are superb! Best wishes, Keith

I think we must simply choose wisely who we let in and who we don't.....but not everyone in our lives is going to leave us or betray our trust. Some people do love.....and want to love us....if we will let them love us. It's a hard lesson when you've been through the ashes....but, remember....how pure those things are that grow afterwards, forrests upon forrests have been planted in the fire---and we turn into something more deeper and meaningful.
