Celestial Musing's Nostalgia
Oh, how sweet it is to ponder
love notes, surpassing heartfelt ecstasy
expressed with divine endearment---
…You’re the beauteous Eve
who completes my ribs
as it finds belongingness in yours
toward one flesh partnership
of cleaving and clinging
marked by commitment's blessed union:
sublime --- beyond mere romance...
…Indeed, you’re the virtuous woman
exemplified by the Scriptures
whom I want to exchange
my “till death do us part”
along sweet assertion
marked by faithfulness' assurance…
Most especially,
you’re the bride
I have earnestly prayed
to be espoused with
to nourish* and cherish,
according to God’s Word…
With these cogitations, I’m gripped
with the Lord’s compassion, nostalgic of overwhelming
“Celestial musings that you said to me.”**
*Ephesians 5:29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church.
** Vijay Pandit’s line, “Celestial musings that you said to me” from the poem, “A man from distand lands.”
