Celestial Crystal At Day

Faithfully exuding reflected light Firmament gem displays celestial might Along functional role midst lovely sight Crystal obscured by cloud–yet never shouts out loud To show glow sun endowed–exposed against fog’s shroud. Here am I enthralled by your charming ray Grateful to the Creator’s wondrous way Of presenting your marvels day by day Now then with cheerful heart–I’ll sing praise for fresh start Like hymn, “How great Thou art”–as my worshipful part. While I behold your luminescence plight My soul exalts Master Artist sans crowd Blest with quietude that invites to pray Expecting gleam tonight against doubt’s dart.
*Genesis 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night... June 30, 2023 4th place, "THE MOON BY DAY - Suzette sonnet" Poetry Writing Premiere Contest; sponsored by Suzette Richards; judged on 7/6/2023.

What a beautiful song "exalting" God's sun and moon especially when they grace the sky together! You really tied the scripture and your poem so well. Congratulations on your win Beata. Blessings and prayers. Thank you for these moments of fellowship in prayer!

I need to mention here that you had changed the layout after the contest finalized (otherwise people might think that I had slipped up). :) Also, you are taking a chance by adding the quote afterwards as Poetry Soup does not allow it and they might remove your poem altogether. That goes for the footnote as well. But, it is your poem to do with as you see fit. Have a nice weekend :)
