Castles In the Night Sky

Looking and longing from the rock tower Sun is rising on cloudy skies Casting light on the last of night When will my lover arrive on his white steed Been gone for over a day Longing for his tender kiss and caress In this land where the loch ness Roams the cold waterway

Lovely piece Sara, i stay 5 miles from Loch Ness. We walk the dog along it's shoreline. In all weathers it's the most beautiful of places>>James

Going into my Fav's... Sara... I'm A Medieval Maid from the moment...my Grandma used to make quilt castles for me to play in... Quilts covered over Sofa and Chairs... and then the princess (me :)... would hold court... (smile) Thanks for making me think of that again... Seriously, though... I'm a sucker for days of yore'... and this one poem is good. MoonBee

Great Story, Ms. Sara. I'll bet your tardy Lover has put a lariat on that wild cayuse an' is doin' his best to rake'em down. He'll show-up here directly with the reins in his mouth, a bouquet of fragrant seaweed in one hand an beautiful coral (maybe a pearl or two) in the other. Yes Ma'am, only a few thangs will keep a man from his Lovely Lass. A change to break that 'ole Loch Ness is one of'em, I'll bet. Hee! Hee! Keep wait'n. He's ah com'n. JW ~ TexasCowboyIsh

Oooh! This is outstanding, Sara! I love the imagery of waiting for the lover to return as you survey the landscape below. And the refrence to Loch Ness makes it even more compelling for me. Makes me wonder if the monster might have delayed the lover's return. Great sense of mystery as well as longing in this write! Love, carolyn
