Cascade of Love

“Fragments and crumbs of life, all the little pieces”
                                   By John Ruskin 1853

All the tiny pieces of life blended together...
When I met you at amber sunset,
The gossamer light of the melting rays,
Fell on us ...beside the dock, with weathered grey planks,
I remembered everything what we lost!

The fragments, which I was never able to piece together,
The puzzles which would always stay mysterious,
You looked at me. In the shimmering  light,
Our eyes met, in the cascade of love.
The world stood still, not a word
                                     Around us, all hushed.

I remembered the soothing raindrops which drizzled us
I remembered the azure floating clouds,
Remembered the sprawled flower-petals with golden hues,
                                     I remembered all -
All that matters in the twilight  zone!

Mala, this is just lovely. A true romantic delight of memories held in a moment of time - your "twilight zone!" So clever my friend and nicely set up by the previous lines and stanzas. I am drawn into your "zone." It would be delightful to stay in this place. Blessings, a hug and much love dear friend!

Mala, I was again delighted to read your poetic vision accompanied by your voice and carefully presented images. I'm so proud of you for conquering the tech challenge, I think you are becoming the new expert people will go to when they wish to receive a lesson! Love the poem, and the Ruskin quote. He was a mentor and encourager to the Pre-Raphaelite painters whom I so enjoy. Blessings ~ John

Thank you so much, John, for listening/watching the video. Probably I have conquered the initial tech challenge following your instructions. But there is so much to learn, and so much to improve. Sounds like you are in painting. I remember- one of your poems inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night! Best wishes ~ Mala

So many beautiful, visceral and vibrant images, Mala - "soothing raindrops," "melting rays," and puzzles that would stay mysterious. This reminds me of the song from GiGi - "Ah yes, I remember it well." So enjoyed this poem.
