Carved To Last

Maybe you recall this, too:
Your sitting room, and us, and
The long-awaited hush of privacy.

A pair, statuesque,
Carved to last.

You held me like I was saving you.
You saved me, too.

'carved to last' - sounds like a moment ingrained in time. Nice free verse Annie!
