Carmel, Ocean Avenue On A Rainy Afternoon

      architecture statuesque
          Monterey pine trees
   tints that appease
flowering hedges 
       with watery edges
a couple buying flowers
children enjoy the showers
              a cyclist slow rides
   running dog by her side
         hawkers
            gawkers
                    colourful cars
  a painted pause
       a man reading
a canvas rain-bleeding
    a Carmel scene lifelike
this is how peace looks like

With the sound of the waves and the sound of the rain there is a peaceful aura about this little city that rises from the ocean in oak covered hills. I like sense that I am strolling through its narrow streets of quaint little shops and delightful restaurants. We live about two hours north of Carmel and visit often. Wonderful writing!
