Cardinals

Cardinal sits alone
Red against a white back drop
Standing out from other birds
Glowing bright red wings
Flapping upward to the sky
Sitting alone in a tree
Cardinal where's your mate?
Left in winter lost in snow
alone to fend for your self
Cardinal are you sad
do yo feel true emmotions
Cardinals feel love for ever
Cardinals mate for life
There's always flying in pairs
They seem to love each other
but its just nature
do cardinals dream when they sleep
If so I wonder what dreams
Cardinals sleeping sound.

enjoyed reading your Cardinal poem, I do love to see the cardinals especially in the snow so bright red and cheery.
