It must be a pleasant sight to spot a cardinal from your kitchen window ! While cooking, I too enjoy such sights through my kitchen window ! A lovely image and a beautiful tanka !

Hi Sara, what a beautiful bird, I don't think we have them in South Africa, or if we do I have never seen them. When we visit the Kruger Park, we see many birds and eagles our favorite Eagle is the Fish Eagle, our favorite birds, the Lilac Breasted Roller very colorful and the colorful Saddled Bill stork, too beautiful looks like a cartoon character, standing 3 -4 feet high.
