Yes, birds seem to add a special touch to our yards and life. I think possibly help us relate to the one gone on before. My parents go blue birds frequenting our yard more and they called them the love birds. Last year or maybe it was the fall of the year before that my husband got sick; I asked him to repair and build some bird houses so maybe we would have more birds in the yard to eat bugs that attack the garden. Anyway, we have several blue bird families every year since. It reminds me. SK

Lovely imagery, Kim. Birds are messengers between Earth & Heaven so perhaps the Cardinal took your Love to her. I love the ninette’s shape & brevity. So much can be said in a light way. X.

Sad but somehow I think the bird symbolizes her freedom from the pain and suffering of this world. And now she is happy in heaven. Hugs

I think she is happy in heaven too. My siblings visualize activities earthward but I think she is experiencing much greater things. Still, this gives them peace. Hugs

Certain people, animals doings of others, interpretation of a situation etc etc , can all let you believe what is always foremost in you mind this Cardinal did it all for you and maybe by your eyes licking he got the right message to give your mom. Love and hugs Jennifer

So adorable although tinged with sadness. I like birds. I've pets when I was still 12 to 13 and taught them to talk and sing. Hope I can encounter a cardinal someday. Thanks a lot for sharing dear poet friend Kim and for reading one of my poems yesterday. Blessings. Hugs
