Captured

Musings consumed interior frame
Shaken with raveling thoughts of fright
Slides of memories pursued relentlessly
Rattled by visions of terror instead
Banging knocks ensued beneath
Locked chains wrenched apart in rage

Lured by facade of unexpected fate
Time for regret seemed inconceivable
Escape alone for renewed freedom
Irrevocable feelings of being torn apart
Gruesome and disheartening in ways
Not to be evoked for fear of revulsion

Conscientious dismay shattering with force
As though of cold fury dislodged by hate
Battling with strength of a lion for the kill
Slowly emerging with victorious cries sworn
To whom through obstacles was relentless
Experienced doom to overcome captivity
