Capricorn One

Some years ago, I saw a movie that was great.
This was back in the summer of ‘78.
“Capricorn One” was the title of this flick.
Here, NASA conducted an elaborate trick.
A journey to Mars was just a big fraud.
It was a well-made movie that we would applaud.
The film was quite popular in its day.
One of its stars was a football player named “OJ”.
Something is now difficult for thought digestion.
The picture has left me with a big question.
When I think about it, it makes me swoon.
Did we really send astronauts to the moon?

James Fraser February 6, 2011 at 8:43 AM It does make you wonder if the moon landings did in fact take place. I believe they did and Holywood always like to follow up on history. The only down side is the planting of the American Flag. For nations to move on future wise, it should have been a picture of Earth on a flag. I dare say the Russians would have done the same. Nice write Robert....:)

Francine Roberts February 5, 2011 at 5:44 PM well that is a often questioned conspiracy theory, makes you wonder doesn't it. Watched a program once where they recreated it, was interesting, and they were smart enough not to let the flag wave in their reenactment. good write on interesting topic

Carolyn Devonshire February 5, 2011 at 12:15 PM You know, Robert, I've met people who actually believe the moon landing was staged. If they hadn't brought back moon rocks, I might be among them. LOL Did you see "Wag the Dog"? In that movie a war was staged (with help from Willie Nelson) to take the focus of a president who was having an affair while running for re-election. Audrey Haick February 5, 2011 at 12:11 PM Oh, that question still lingers in my mind 'til this day.. deception flies today, even more than before, so who knows what is true and what's fiction. I enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing. Back six years ago, when my kid said it was a fraud because the flag should not have been waving in some wind. And there's no gravitiy. I promptly shut my mouth!
