Capitol City
I am a captive
and a prisoner of your affections
draw me with robes of purple
wrapped with cords of silver
let me embrace you
ten thousand times ten thousand nights
with four times as many days
until I can no longer distinguish
that there are two but only one us
and upon my lips
the exclamations of exaltations
you have produced prosperity
for all peoples of the lands
enlarged the bounties meant for all
Words of healing spring forth like waterfalls
that saturate a thirsty earth
a river that descends to all nations
your generousity the filling of every table
and the wine of gladness every cup
until one cannot see and end ever to your goodness
forgotten the former times like a nightmare
no longer able to be remembered
take me in your net
thread me with your song
where the dance of joy
has filled the courtyard of our home
Oh Zion
the capital city of the King
and you oh barren woman will give birth
for your repurchaser
the treasures of the nations
being collected together the gifts
that will adorn the Kings storehouse
will flow the restoration of all things
Every gem of kindness decorates your halls
the true wealth of the nations belongs to you
and your surpassing loving kindness
I will extoll before you and all the families of the earth
You oh Royal Residence
decoration of the nations
to be filled with the Song of the Bridegroom
and the Song of the Bride
the crowning birth of the Diadem
the nursery for the nations
for you shall raise them up
with tender compassions and the milk of loving kindnesses
and kindle a longing for the attributes of love
This gift is for you Oh Israel
the dwelling your maker
has constructed to house you
Within Jah has placed the well spring of life
the everlasting presence of your King
Amen , come Lord Jesus
