Can't Erase You

When you looked at me
Like I was the only one
I could not help but hope
That it was all true
That you had not lied
It was not just a pretty picture you drew
but you laughed at me
with coldness in your eyes
and I thought
what a fool I was
to think a person like you
would ever even notice
my heart shattering like a glass.
you said stay
and then you asked me to move on
like a goat tied to leash
you shoo me away
only to pull me back in
and like a loyal dog
I give up the chance to go
And stay
Just like you asked
While you turn your head away
I keep looking for you
Through the wall of glass.
