Cannot Take It For Granted
This old world is not set in concrete, never stays the same
Life is like the wind, blows where it wants to
Some say that we are curse, some day that we are blessed
To some it is just a silly game
Whatever the case, it is really up to you
Remember you cannot take life for granted
One day you have a fine job, living on Easy Street
Three car garage, best neighborhood, White picket fence
Great wife and kids, until the storm blows in
Your life now is upside down, and not so sweet
And you thought that you would always win
Next thing you know, you are out
Living in a card board box on the street
The Soup Line does not have a buffet, wife and kids are packed
All that is in your head is a lot of doubt
All done in and just about beat
Yesterday, you took it all for granted
None of us have a crystal ball to gaze into the future
We have no idea what our tomorrows will bring
One day at a time is all we can do
Cannot out run Father Time or even begin to fool Mother Nature
No one know when their final bell will ring
Some might be thirty, some might be eighty two
Life is so un certain, you never know from day to day
You can live it to the fullest or just get by
You can be happy,or you can be sadden
But it is really, come what may
And it will be that way until the day that we die
But one thing about life, never take it for granted
