Candles On The Beach
Watch the morning sun go down
holding hands while out on walks.
Words unspoken heard by hearts
waves gently kissing rocks.
A distant childs laughter rings
a ships whistle fills the air.
A stolen kiss upon a cheek
hands gently touching hair.
A window, or so it would seem
of opportunity.
Lovers hidden on the shore
no one else can see.
Turning quickly in the night
now facing one another.
Hear the turning of the tide?
A friend becomes a lover.
Falling softly in the sand
as passion fills their eyes.
Touching one another still
both touched by nighttime skies.
Seagulls crying from the clouds
their echoes from above.
As they both find the sweet release
of lovers deep in love.
So much of love left yet to learn
so much for life to teach.
As two lovers passion burns
like two candles on the beach.
