Candles In the Rain

Sometimes ,
it feels like I’m lighting candles in the rain
desperately trying to make it work
trying everything I know
yet it”s futile

Sometimes life doesn’t seem fair
because it isn’t and
it’s not meant to be

Still, life is wonderful and
only I can change it
so though it may rain,
I’ll find a spot in-between the clouds
and let my candle shine bright
