Candlelight

Candlelight burns in this quiet space
I imagine the smile, glowing on your face
I feel you are here, from many miles away
As the sun has returned to brighten the day
Kiss me like there is no tomorrow
Let’s share love to eliminate sorrow
Let’s hold each other in the golden light
That shines upon us, flickering so bright
I’ve learned you know who I am, what I feel
Our connection of strength, forever real
I know your wishes, I hope will come true
Swirling like clouds in these skies of blue
When night returns, after the sun says goodbye,
I will kiss you goodnight, igniting dreams to fly

I wonder if angels and animals ever tried writing poetry? (Dogs, man's best friend, are loyal, but minus poetry).
