Candle Without the Flame

My heart held a candle thought I'd love you til the end, the flame burned itself out never to be lit again. At one time, long ago I'd walk a thousand miles for you, but now I don't feel the same my soul is hurt and blue. My heart cries rivers through all this pain, the flame burned itself out never to be lit again. Copyright © Cynthia Jones Feb.21/2005

Well said with style and finesse as the emotions rose from your words and lodged themselves in the reader’s heart and soul. Emile. #7
