Cancer On the Prowl

the verdict rings loud
our innocence snuffed
leaving us breathless
on the edge of our seat
in silence ravaging your body
hypocrite it gnaws inside
where evil lurks ~ the enemy
its claws into you into us
metastasizing cancerous tentacles
threatening viciously
our harmony
