Can Still Bring It

At seventy-eight, I can still bring it Still creative, I'm living proof Something that stays with you I guess No matter the snow on the roof Still get a blast when I help some folks Announce their coming events To see the happy look on their faces Not a look that they can invent It's certainly got nothing to do with ego Had accolades to fill a lifetime Keeping myself active is how I see it Keeping my neurons in line The day I lose it will be a very sad day Life will no longer be fun Gonna dig a big hole and crawl right in My work on this earth will be done! © Jack Ellison 2013

This is adorable! It's been a while since I've read your work! I missed it! So glad you're still moving and with such confidence and gaiety. Your rhymes are golden, because you yourself are golden! Always, Laura

.... Yes, you have in you Jack .... I hope it will be the last thing you do on this earth: Spreading joy and laughter!! - But it's a long, long time until that day comes my friend. - You know: A good laugh prolongs life! - I think you've got many extra years .... - Continue to spread your joy and laughter ... - Have a wonderful fun weekend! - oxox // Anne-Lise :))
