Can I be the one you see in the morning light,
The first one to greet you, and make everything right?
Can I be the first one you see when you close your eyes,
The last thought on your mind, the one that never dies?
Can I be the one to hold you so tight,
To keep you safe, to keep you warm, through the dark of night?
Can I be the one you point to, with pride and with glee,
In front of people, and say, "That's my love, that's me"?
I wanna love you with every fiber of my being,
With every breath, with every heartbeat, with every seeing,
I wanna love you with everything of me,
All of me is automatically yours, wild and free.
Can I be the one to add a smile on your face,
To bring joy to your life, to put a spark in your place?
Can I be the one to steal your heart,
To be your forever love, your every-part?
Be my best friend, my partner, my guide,
The one I can laugh with, gossip with, and hide,
The one I can play with, smile with, and be,
The one I can love more and more, wild and free.
The one and only one you need,
The one who'll love you, with every word, with every deed,
Can I be the one, the one you desire,
The one who'll set your heart on fire?
In your eyes, I see a love so true,
A love that's meant for me, and one that's meant for you,
Can I be the one to cherish and adore,
To love you more with each passing day, and forevermore?
Let's be love specialists, creating a love so real,
A love that will last, and forever feel,
Can I be the one, the one you choose,
The one who'll love you, with every fiber, every muse?
