Can I

Can I show you the real me
 without you being screamish
Can I show you who I am
without causing an alarm
Can I reveal myself too you
without fear or harm
Can I be naked in front of you
Mind body and soul
Can my spirit man speak out to you
Loud and bold
Can I be frighten
and you don't take offense
If the little girl in me is shy,
emotional, cries and throws a foot
Will you be patience
If I want to take my time or
Will you run with me
Cause I'm on my last dime
Will you nourish me
as gentle as you could
Knowing that I am fragile
Yet strong as ox wood
I ask these things cause
I want to know in advance
could you.... would you...
if I gave you a chance
