Can Herkimer Defy the Odds

Odds are not good for Herkimer to breed
The kind of person who always succeeds
             For Herkimer himself failed
Wound up in the county jail
I’m sure this just makes your little heart bleed

Gershon, you're a diamond. As far as Herkimer goes, let him post his own bail.

Hey, thanks a bunch, Pascal. I really appreciate the compliment you gave me. One certainly doesn't hear that every day. With gratitude, Gershon

Something tells me that you'll have just enough blood left to keep going, CayCay. lol. ~ Gershon

A wry, amusing limerick with a satisfyingly blunt punchline. “Herkimer” is a wonderfully comic name, and the jaunty rhythm carries the descent from hopeful breeding prospects to county jail with deadpan ease. The final line adds just the right dose of mock sympathy.

Can I hire you as my personal limerick reviewer? Your comments far outpace Herkimer's silly little adventure. Thanks, gw
