Calmed Seas

I summon my inner demons to subside
and calm the turbulence inside

I still the waters of my mind
and press the button to rewind

back to a peaceful place I’d been
where blessed nature was serene

dawn would call me I’d listen with my eyes
to tranquil things and waited for sunrise

I love to think back to quiet hours in early morn
where at the cottage I would feel reborn
