Calm
"Peace is to calm the storm within. ~ Abdul Malik
My heart, mind and soul are not calm
World bestowed upon me no balm
Sleep hardly comes to weary eyes
Oh, my soul to yonder realm lies
My heart may well be desolate
As I wail in anguish of late,
It brought me to this fateful hour
Cast off like a withered flower.
Like the sound of a siren song
My fate has suffered grievous wrong
Now my days are barren and bleak
If the heavens ever did speak
I pray for my life to survive
I no longer can keep alive,
Lest I get some serenity
I will hurt for eternity.
