looking at a moonless sky
darkness falling all around
shivering in the mountain breeze
as I wish on a vacant star

reaching out for you
but you aren't there
sensing your touch
in the cool night air
searching for you
but you won't be found
calling your name
calling your name

celestial stars that will not shine
hollow moon in its disguise
hiding all the love I gave
buried in a cloudy grave
