Calling All Poets!

Calling all poets!
New contest online begins.
Grab your quill and ink,
   write a masterpiece .
The theme for a challenge is,
   “Diamond in the Rough.”

Calling all poets!
Step out of your comfort zone,
   and into a new
   realm of poetry.
Compose a form you’ve never
   done up till this point.

Calling all poets!
Any form will do just as
   long as it is true.
Be creative and
   original from your mind.
May surprise your self.

Calling all poets!
Step up to the plate to bat.
Knock a homerun in
   the stadium stands.
The Haiku prince calls for you,
   for the good of all.

I'll have to give some thought to developing a new style. You've inspired me and I'm sure many will heed the call of the "Haiku prince."
