Call To Remembrance
Through the year, one particular day
long awaited, anticipated, so far away,
at last arrives, gilded row upon row,
arrayed in rainbow-studded glow.
Expectation, intense and strong,
enhanced by love’s eternal song,
swells within the mind and heart
of every one who shares a part,
in measured time, of God’s plan
to heal the broken heart of man.
His own blood ran red for me,
etched my name on passion’s tree.
Jesus, hailed in star-bright light
as angel-song warms winter’s night;
anticipation, sharp-edged and strong
enhanced by love’s eternal song,
in measured time, God’s own plan
can heal the broken heart of man.
