Notes About The Poem

Cadence

"the faint melody of her heart, whispers the soft cadence of her soul." ~ Kristy Waltan There's a rhythm to my words, A cadence to my thoughts, Like the song of the birds, Music connects all dots, There's a flow to my verse, A tempo to my song, Like musings that traverse this world in a beat strong, There's a lilt to my voice, An accent as I speak, Like a stranger has choice 'tween metre and mystique, There's an inflection here, An intonation sweet, Like a melody clear, A canticle complete.

Not easy to use cadence in a poem but you did it perfectly. I wrote three poems with the letter C: contemplation, cadence and cemetery and I still am at loss for which one is the best. You will outdo me with yours.
