Cabin In the Woods
Tucked away on a mountain slope
I will still find my cabin I hope,
To sit by the curving river wide
Viewing the ambient mountain side.
No knocks on the door, no city lights
Only the quietness and the astonishing sights,
Gather the wood to warm the abode
I will enjoy life here whatever my mode.
No meadows in which to wander
But narrow streams flow just yonder
Sun’s rays clasping tall pine trees
Gentle winds generate a warm breeze.
Autumn air lessens the ponderous minds
Eliminates the stuffy life style that binds
Connecting to nature’s fortress that bonds
Commencing splender which lies beyond.
